Puffing Billy Toy Library (Emerald)

Our mission is to help each child to reach their full potential through play.

We are here to support parents, carers and families to choose toys that nurture and engage their child's development. Nestled in the Dandenong Ranges and home to the iconic steam train "Puffing Billy" we are a community based, not-for-profit organisation made up of local volunteer parents from the surrounding hills district.

Located at The Children's Centre next to St Mark's Opp Shop, we invite you to visit and view our extensive collection of high quality toys. There are three rooms for children to play in, bathrooms with a baby change table, a kitchen to make yourself a cup of tea and an outdoor enclosed playground to stretch your legs and get some fresh air. On Wednesdays our Toy Library runs alongside a playgroup run by local families who provide a range of craft and nature based activities held in the same venue.

Members are the lifeblood of our organisation and connect friends old and new who are passionate about making the toy library a place that is as professional as it is welcoming. Our committee runs regular events such as outdoor fun days for the whole family as well as ensuring the smooth operation of the toy library. We value children's safety, well being and development and pride ourselves on being an inclusive welcoming place for families to connect, learn and support each other.
