Short Experiences

Ricketts Point (approx 10-12 minutes) - For those on a budget or if your time is limited, this is the quickest way to have a look at the coast and the CBD in the distance. This flight departs Moorabbin Airport and tracks straight for the coast where you will then overfly the coast, the popular beachside of Black Rock prior to returning to the field.

Bayside Helicopter Flight (approx 20 minutes) - Fly out from Moorabbin Airport over Royal Melbourne Golf Course and turn northwards towards the City, flying just offshore over Sandringham Marina where you'll see the wreck of the J7 Submarine that was scuttled in 1930.

Further on you'll fly past the famous east coast beaches and marinas of Melbourne, the colourful bathing boxes at Brighton, the St. Kilda Sea Baths and Luna Park until you see Albert Park Lake, home of the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix. Views of the Melbourne City skyline will also fill the windows just prior to making the turn for home.

On the homeward leg we head back the way we came turning back inland around the wreck of the HMAS Cerberus and returning to Moorabbin Airport.

This is truly a perspective of Melbourne and Port Phillip Bay which is rarely seen but an absolute must do.

Melbourne Bayside and CBD Orbit (approx 25 minutes) - This flight is truly the tour that has the lot: from boats, beaches, cities and mountains these all play out right before your eyes. There's no better way to see Melbourne than from the comfort of one of our luxury scenic helicopters.

Your tour starts flying out from Moorabbin Airport over Royal Melbourne Golf Course then turning northwards towards the City, flying just offshore over Sandringham Marina where you'll see the wreck of the J7 Submarine that was scuttled in 1930.

The flight continues around the outskirts of the great City of Melbourne. You'll see the War Memorial, Government House, Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Rod Laver Arena and the AAMI Park precinct.

From there you'll fly near the Melbourne Exhibition Buildings, Melbourne Museum, Victoria Market, Etihad Stadium and the Melbourne Docklands before tturning south and flying back down the east coast of Port Phillip Bay to Half Moon Bay prior to turning inland and returning to Moorabbin Airport.

Trial Introductory Flight (approx 35 minutes) - Would you like to experience the thrill of flying a helicopter yourself? The experience starts with a briefing on how the helicopter flies, what the various controls do, and what you must do to fly the helicopter; then you're off on a 35 minute flight in a dual controlled helicopter with one of our highly experienced instructors.

If you are over 16 years old and have no major disabilities you can... Within the first 5 minutes you will be trying out the first of the controls.

As you progress, the other controls will be introduced one at a time until, toward the end of the flight, you could have full control of the helicopter as you fly within either the Moorabbin training area.

This is one of the greatest thrills that you could imagine, and you will come back hardly believing that YOU have just flown a helicopter on your own (with the instructor sitting beside you of course).
