Princes Park Dog Off Leash Area (Caulfield South)
The popular Caulfield Dog Park is located at Princes Park where there are ovals where dogs congregate to run about and interact with other dogs.
All sportsgrounds at Princes Park are off-leash areas.
The western end of Princes Park is on-leash. The on-leash area includes the playground, rotunda, picnic area, car park and open space area along Hawthorn Road. The sportsgrounds to the east are off-leash except the main fenced football oval which is on-leash. Dogs are required to be on leash along the paths.
The D.C Bricker pavilion beside the main oval, which is the home of the Sandringham Dragons, has toilets on the north side which are open on the weekends. There are also more toilets near the playground.
It should be noted that during sports club training, match times and school use of sports grounds, all dogs must be on leash.
The park has water taps with bowls, seating and car parking.
Bins are provided and the place is so popular that you should find other dogs to interact with.
Considering the park is on sports ovals it's very important to be vigilant about picking up poop. No-one wants to score an own goal.
