Portland Fenced Dog Park (Henty Park)
The area features two separate enclosures to accommodate for both large and small dogs. The Small Dog enclosure is open for dogs under 10kg and the Large Dog enclosure is open for large/medium dogs over 10kg.
There is a sand pit, some agility equipment, bins, drinking fountain and bench seating (with shade sails).
There are some native trees and a range of surfaces such as gravel, crushed rock and lawn.
Rules of entry for both enclosures in the park:
- Ensure your dog is under constant supervision and voice control
- Please make sure you are actively watching your dog at all times.
- All dogs entering must be vaccinated and desexed to protect the health and safety of all
- Two dogs per owner
- We recommend children do not enter the park when there are unknown dogs using the space
- Bring treats for your dog only - no other food to be consumed in the park
- Prior to exiting the park, please ensure your dog is on a lead
- Please use the compostable and biodegradable dog bags provided when picking up waste in the park. The waste receptacles are designed to dispose of waste in a eco-friendly way and normal dog bags will not breakdown.
- For the enjoyment of all, please remove your dog if it exhibits anti-social behaviour
- Ensure you use the gates correctly when entering or exiting the parks so no dogs can escape the enclosures.
