Port Melbourne Library Storytime
Storytimes are free and provide a great way to introduce young children to reading. Storytimes include stories and activities for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers.
Port Phillip Library Service offers the following programs:
Baby Rhyme Time
Introduce your little ones to the wonder of babies first books, interactive play, rhyme, rhythm and bouncy songs. Meet other parents and babies as you learn new songs and the importance of reading with your child. Suitable for children ages zero to 18 months. Bookings are not needed, walk-ins are welcome.
Tiny Tots Storytime
Toddlers love singing, dancing, listening to fun stories and rhymes. This is an interactive and joyful Storytime where caregivers are encouraged to engage with their children to model listening skills and a love of language. Suitable for children ages 18 months to 3 years. Bookings are not needed, walk-ins are welcome.
Preschool Storytime
Bring your pre-schooler along to participate in a broad selection of picture books, stories, songs and rhymes, involving interactive fun and learning. Have fun while developing language, listening and comprehension skills. Suitable for children ages 3 to 6 years. Bookings are not needed, walk-ins are welcome.
Russian Storytime - LOTE
Introduce your little ones to the wonderful Russian Storytime. Come and enjoy reading picture books and singing Russian nursery rhymes together.
Spanish Storytime - LOTE
Whether you are fluent or just curious, come along and join in the fun. Learn some songs and listen to stories in Espanol with your little ones. Suitable for children ages zero to 5 years.
