Port Franklin Boardwalk
Port Franklin is a small, quiet fishing community. The Boardwalk allows visitors to wander out on the wetlands and explore. Different tidal conditions provide different experiences. Watch the mud crabs as they scamper along the mud at low tide.

Review:
This is a lovely walk, especially when the weather is nice. Rather than just doing the boardwalk we really recommend starting at the Port Franklin Viewing Platform (at 2 South Street) and then exploring the waterside area which has fishing boats, waterbirds, picnic tables, a pirate skeleton sitting on a seat and toilets (on the north side of Fishermans Way at the Port Franklin Public Purposes Reserve).
The track to the start of the boardwalk is located at the Port Franklin slipway along Fishermans Way. The boardwalk track ends at the eastern end of Fishermans Way where there are lots of boats moored along the Franklin River.
