Percydale - Avoca Falls
Avoca Falls, which is located within the Pyrenees State Forest, is a seasonal waterfall which flows in the winter months only, or after heavy rainfall. It is a nice spot to visit even if the water is not flowing.
From the Waterfalls Picnic Area, there is a signposted path which follows the course of the No.2 Creek upstream to an outcrop of rock over which the water flows. The return walk to the falls is only 1km over flat terrain with occasional steps.
The Waterfalls Picnic Area and Campground is about a 20 minute drive from Avoca. It is a spacious campground with several large areas of flat, clear, grassy ground. There are with wood fire barbecues, fire pits, picnic tables, information sign and toilets.
The forest surrounding the Waterfalls Campground is excellent for 4WD and trail bike riding.
