Penders Park Playground, St David Street, Thornbury
Set in a large park dotted with trees. The playground is most suited to younger kids.
At one end is a metal cubby with an echidna sculpture, sandpit with low rock walls on the sides, swings, an area with wooden see-saw, wooden logs seats and log stump steppers.
A central area has ramps, wide metal slide, monkey bars and balance circuit. On this side is a dual flying fox with disk seat and harness seat.
At the other end is a big wooden tepee, spinning disk, stand-on spinner, two in-ground trampolines, big rope net climbing area, birds nest swing and two standard swings.
In the playground area there are two shelters with a table and BBQ, toilets and water tap. There is also a large shelter with a table and a basketball court with rings at both ends. The park is a dog off leash area and unfortunately there often dogs in the playground area.
