Out Doors
Out Doors is a state-wide, not-for-profit mental health organisation that offers a range of recreational and active outdoor programs that cater to all ages (16+), fitness & experience levels, from beginners to advanced for better mental health.
Using outdoor education with an emphasis on action, challenge and risk-taking, our experienced, qualified Program Coordinators deliver programs that include rafting, hiking, rock climbing and surfing, and creative programs like bush art and music as a means of providing rehabilitation, skill development and integration in the community.
Out Doors' programs range from day trips, overnight trips, and multi-day trips, focused on the specific needs of people at risk or living with a mental health issue. Our staff work collaboratively with participants to ensure the program meets the specific needs of the individuals and goals of the group, giving participants a sense of ownership over their programs. Activities include: bushwalking, canoeing, rafting, surfing, cross-country skiing, mountain bike riding, rock climbing, abseiling, creative programs like bush art and drumming and more.
You may qualify for NDIS or State Government funding for the courses.
