Officer District Park Playground, Lansell Avenue, Officer

Wow, this place is amazing with two massive tunnel slides snaking down the side of a huge hill ready to dump kids out the bottom like a Spitting Cobra. The climb up the hill is thrilling and scary in itself - either using rock steps on the side, soft colourful steps up the middle, scrambling up using big soft half spheres sticking out of the surface or steep paths on the sides. At the top of the slide is a shelter with table but no kid is going to have a picnic when there are two stupendous slides so close. Note that the slides and hill climb area are designed for children 1.2m or taller.
There is a huge amount of play equipment at the bottom of the slides including three in-ground trampolines, spinning disk, stand-on spinner, frame with five swings, revolving see-saw, spinning cup, fun flying fox which you hang on with a rubber handle, climbing cube with climbing walls and ladders (rope and metal). In the corner is a shelter with table and water tap.

On the other side of the slides is an unusual climbing structure and rock ledges lead down to a massive rope climbing structure under a shade dome. Next to this is a big birds nest swing, suspended thick rope swing, three climbing structures, bouldering area with six connected balls with climbing holes and another climbing structure. At the end is a shelter with two tables and BBQ and further along is a fenced dog park.

The playground makes great use of the hill and has a number of levels. The next level down is a wonderful area for younger kids with a huge tractor with slide, big wooden truck, spinning rope cone, log stepper circuit, two cute bug springers, enclosed rocky area with a water hand pump, low play structure with slide, steps, and arched bridge, cute see-saw with bug seats, shopfront, tic-tac-toe, five swings (including a birds nest swing and an expression swing where child and parent sit opposite each other).

Further across is an area for bigger kids with a pyramid rope climbing frame, dual flying foxes with disk seats, rope log jumble, monkey bars, inverted V-shaped rope obstacle. At the end is a shelter with two tables and BBQs and an outdoor gym station.

The next level down has a small wetlands area and a parkour area.

There are toilets near the car park. The playground has minimal grassy play areas which is understandable due to the severe slope of the land. Another negative aspect is that shaded / undercover areas for children to play and parents to sit is quite limited.
