Oddies Creek Adventure Playspace, Wodonga Place, Albury South
The playground is located in a strand of River Red Gums surrounded by a big grassy area.
The playground is fully fenced but the gates are not safety gates and can be pushed open (which is enough to defeat all but the most intelligent parent who seek vainly for a lock to open but unfortunately not secure enough for most kids)
One end of the playground has a structure with a ramp winding around the outside with wave slide, climbing wall, rope ladder and metal slide. There are plenty of musical instruments scattered about the structure plus an intricate rubber and rope climbing frame at the bottom.
The other main structure is lower with a paddle steamer form with wave slide, ladder with square rungs, rope ladder, fireman's pole, ladder up a wall plus a big sandpit with some shade.
The playground also has a long (but quite slow) flying fox with plastic disk seat, huge birds nest swing, family sized see-saw, donut on an angle which spins around, plenty of swings including one with harness, musical bridge and stand-on spinner.
There are some shaded tables but more shaded seats are needed around the playground area. Toilets and shelter with tables outside the fenced area. Water tap with BBQs. Fully landscaped, the area is an ideal spot for a family day out.
The playground is designed for children from babies to teenagers with features to stimulate physical, social and imaginative play experiences.
