North Melbourne Recreation Centre
North Melbourne Recreation Centre is a multi purpose facility delivering engaging recreation programs and services aimed at getting Melbourne active. The centre comprises of a state of the art gymnasium, multi purpose stadium, seasonal outdoor pools, meeting rooms, community space and theatrette.
The centre also offers a comprehensive array of programs from Group Fitness and Personal Training to Aquatic Education.

It is a heated, seasonal outdoor pool open from October 1st to April 30th each year.
Our unique aquatic facility consist of four integrated pools which are all heated to approximately 27.5 C.

Swimming lessons at North Melbourne Recreation Centre run in the outdoor pool over summer. Our swimming programs are a great opportunity to develop your swimming skills during the warmer months.
We offer lessons for infants, preschool children, school-age children and adults. We also run swimming programs for schools.
Swimming Lesson Details & Costs
Shade structures have been put in place around the pool area, ensuring that North Melbourne Pool is a Sun Smart venue for the summer months. There is limited grassy area and some trees. The outside area has tables and BBQ.
