Norris Bank Reserve Playground, McLeans Road, Bundoora
A super playground with play towers, flying fox, nature play, swing zone, scooter loop, stage area and water play area. The highlight of the play towers area is a huge twisting, lime green slide. If anything is going to make you love lime green then this is it. The slide is reached by a series of rising levels which can be reached by rope bridges, a rope tunnel or a metal ladder. The whole structure has two more slides and lots of rope net climbing areas. The big slides can be difficult for smaller kids (less than 5 y.o.) to access without some help from parents.
The swings zone has a big birds nest swing, two swings with safety chains, swing with harness, swing without a safety chain and a Liberty swing for those in a wheelchair. This area has nice soft colourful surfaces around the swings and a carousel with a seat and standing areas.
There is flying fox with two lanes - one line with a disk seat and the other with an enclosed seat.
The stage area has a little stage and some audience seating. There is a small sandpit in this area.
The water play area has spray nozzles and a channel with sluice gates which can be opened and closed. There are buttons which you press with your feet to start the sprays. Unfortunately this wasn't working when we visited.
There is also an indoor trampoline and a scooter pump loop is great with lots of bumps and some banked corners. At the far end is a good sized basketball court and hit-up wall.
Plenty of picnic facilities including toilets.
