Narbethong Reserve Playground, Maroondah Highway, Narbethong

A nice location set in a clearing in the Narbethong Forest Reserve. The play structure has a wave slide, scrambling wall, cubby seats underneath, ladder with square rungs, fireman's pole, climbing wall, two sets of monkey rungs, horizontal bars, disk traverse and a chain spiders web climbing frame. Also a see-saw. Unfortunately there aren't any swings.

Three unshaded tables and a seat, a shelter with a seat, shelter with a table and a large shelter with two tables and BBQs.

There is access to the Narbethong Reserve Nature trail which is a 800m loop on a well-formed track. There is also a more extensive set of trails within the Reserve. The area has a number of interesting information boards including one about the January 1939 Black Friday bushfires when 71 people died and the February 2009 Black Saturday bushfires when 173 people lost their lives including many in this area.
