Nar Nar Goon Murals
Nar Nar Goon is located in West Gippsland, about an hours drive south east of Melbourne. It's a peculiar name for a town but is thought to mean native bear (koala).
It is renowned as a "Mural Town" and there are murals scattered throughout the town. Another similiar mural town in South Gippsland is Mirboo North.
There are a number of murals along Main Street and side streets. Some specific locations of murals are:
- Shops walls around 7 Main Street, Nar Nar Goon
- Australia Post Office, 1 Nar Nar Goon Road, Nar Nar Goon
- Nar Nar Goon Fire Brigade, 9 Carney Street, Nar Nar Goon
- Val Carroll Community Gardens Playground, 9 Main Street, Nar Nar Goon (three small mosaic murals depicting aboriginal themes by local school children)
