Namatjira Reserve Dog Off Leash Area (Clayton South)
The park has a nice playground, basic skate park, toilets, shelter with tables and BBQ and water tap with bowl.
Away from the playground is a large wetlands area with many ponds. An interesting element are the wires strung between poles surrounding and crossing the wetlands. A local told us that it was designed to keep away the seagulls. Judging by the lack of seagulls we saw, it seems to be quite effective.
There is a wide gravel path around the perimeter of the wetlands but off the path are tall bushes and grass which seems like prime snake territory during the hotter months. The park is very large but the open grassy areas are all on leash except for a wedge of grass south east of the playground.
