Nagambie - Black Caviar Statue
As well as a lovely tribute statue of Black Caviar with his jockey overlooking Lake Nagambie, there are boardwalks next to the lake, green grassy areas with garden beds, a nice metal pelican sculpture, unshaded tables and seats plus a memorial to the demise of the Nagambie Uniting Church Chapel Of the Lake (1885-2003). The end date of 2003 occurred because at 1.20pm on Monday 30th June 2003, 118 years after the doors of the church were opened, a semi trailer veered off the Goulburn Valley Highway and collided with the church, coming to rest between its walls, resulting in the collapse of the building. RIP Chapel Of the Lake.
