Myuna Farm (Doveton)
Myuna Farm is a public community farm in the south-east area of Melbourne. It is an excellent example of farming life with lots to do for the whole family. Come and visit us for a fun day!
The farm lets everyone of all ages and abilities, to experience hands on contact with a variety of animals. Alongside the Dandenong Creek, the farm offers a special environment of river gums, wetlands and bird life.
From education through to relaxation, Myuna is preserving the agricultural history of Casey. All of Myuna's attractions are presented in an educational and informative way.
Things to Do at Myuna Farm
Birthday Parties
Cuddle and play with animals at Myuna Farm for your next birthday! Celebrate the coolest birthday party at Myuna Farm! We have rooms, sheds and gazebos that can cater for functions of all sizes - bookings essential. The party areas are free to use, normal admission and ride fees apply. The areas are booked for use between 10am and 4pm. The best thing is we clean up the mess!
Pony Rides
Pony rides operate from 11am - 3pm (do not operate on public holidays or in temperatures exceeding 33 degrees Celsius). The child can put on a helmet and enjoy a short lap on the saddled pony, led by a staff member. A parent or guardian can walk beside the staff member to support the child if needed.
Animal Nursery
Explore the animal nursery, where you can have a hands-on sensory experience patting and interacting with our baby animals such as lambs, kids (baby goats), calves, rabbits, and guinea pigs. In the dairy you will find our milking goats, be sure to check out are daily milking demonstration.
Paddock feed trail
Head outside and walk along the paddock feed trail, where you can hand feed a wide range of Australian farm animals. Such as sheep, cows, kangaroos, and emus. Animal feed is given complimentary with admission. The feed trail is accessible to all including prams and wheelchairs.
Tractor Rides
The tractor ride is suitable for the whole family to enjoy. The tractor pulls several carriages, acting as a train. It follows along the paddock feed trail and heads down into the wetlands. The tractor ride operates daily from 11am - 3pm. Tickets are available for purchase at the front office.
Wetlands Nature Walk
Catch a train or walk down to the wetlands development. Enjoy the tranquillity and peace as you walk along the board walks to the islands, feeding the different varieties of ducks and birds.
BBQ's, Picnic Areas, and Playground
Free to use gas BBQs and picnic areas are spread across the farm. We encourage you to bring in your food and cooking utensils and enjoy a BBQ for lunch with the whole family. Children can explore the playground after lunch.
Cafe
The Myuna Farm Cafe provides a wide range of food, hot and cold drinks and ice creams.

Public transport
Catch a train to Dandenong Station (on the Pakenham / Cranbourne line). Then catch a bus towards Endeavour Hills, which will stop at the entry of Myuna Farm
Review:
Some nice extras like train ride, pony rides and good playground. Able to pet some animals (rabbits). Main negatives were the poor sign directions along the feed trail (bad enough to make your head spin) and the animals are very spread out which necessitated a lot of walking to see them.
Note: Since our review a number of significant improvements have been made including a new playground, three new large shade sales over the playground, out the front of the cafe and over the picnic area, an overhaul of the animal nursery, added rustic farm artwork displays, new cooling system in the building, new hut replacing the old gazebo and updated bathrooms and baby change room.
