Museum of Play and Art (Sandringham)
The husband and wife duo behind the Museum of Play and Art (MoPA) Geelong, Tom and Billie, have created one of the largest children's museum in the Southern Hemisphere in Melbourne! It's the Melbourne Museum's Children's Gallery on steroids and three times bigger than their Museum of Play and Art in Geelong.
The exhibits and activities are crafted to provide rich opportunities for exciting play-based learning and creative exploration. The museum is designed for children aged 1-7 years and is a place where children and families can play and learn together. Painting the car is a favourite for kids but there are plenty of other stimulating spaces including a multi-level playspace, animation, soft play for crawlers, art wall, building zone, crafting station and disco zone.
The on-site MoPA cafe serves a wonderful selection of snacks, meals and drinks.
Opening Hours:
To ensure the Museum is never overcrowded all children and all adults must purchase tickets prior to arrival. Open 9am-5pm with sessions at 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm.
