Mt Baw Baw Mountain Bike Tracks (Baw Baw Village)
Mt Baw Baw Downhill and Cross Country Mountain Bike Tracks includes 1.4km of Downhill track and also Cross Country tracks.
The starting platform is located alongside Currawong Drive in the Baw Baw Village and riders are faced with a large table top before disappearing down the old chairlift run. Riders meander in and out of the bush as they tackle log drops, berms, boulder sections, rollovers, jumps and challenging DH ramps.
Australia's best riders have conquered the 300 vertical metre plummet in just over 3.2 minutes. The main trail will challenge the most competent rider, however those not experienced have the opportunity to bypass the more difficult features via alternate routes.
XC tracks include the Resort's Village and McMillan trails which meander through undulating terrain to the boundary of the Baw Baw National Park in the north. The single track course provides a good introduction into cross country mountain biking with challenging climbs and exciting descents. From summit check out Upper Tyers (intermediate), Tanjil Link (intermediate) and Mueller's (advanced) single tracks or take it easy on the Summit and Village green runs. Village and McMillan trails meander through undulating terrain down to the boundary of the Baw Baw National Park in the north. The ride is picturesque with rest areas and picnic tables scattered along the trail.
Raised decking has been installed over wet areas to ensure that the trail remains in good condition throughout the season. The ride is picturesque with rest areas and picnic tables scattered along the trail.
Anthill Lookout provides spectacular views over Baragwanath Flat to Mt Phillack and Mt Whiteclaw.
Mountain bikes and eMountain Bikes are available for hire at the village. Beginner Skills lessons are held during the green season.
Regular shuttle dates for DH and XC mountain biking commence in late November. Pickups happen from the bottom of DH1 and AM1 and outside Village Central Restaurant, with a drop off at Summit
