Maldon - Mount Tarrengower Mountain Bike Trails
This area is also named Maldon MTB Park. Mt Tarrengower is located just on the edge of Maldon and is only 5 minutes by car from Maldon's town centre. The mountain sits at 570 meters above sea level and provides great views of surrounding areas, especially from the lookout tower up on top. The height, terrain and climate provide perfect conditions for downhill gravity riding. The warm climate makes for great riding all-year-round - even in winter months.
Regular shuttle ride days are held to fund maintenance and development of the trail network. the MTB park boasts the best, smoothest and quickest shuttles in Victoria! The road is bitumen all the way to the top, and takes about 5 minutes from pick-up to drop-off.
There are 4 challenging downhill tracks to choose from - 2 intermediate tracks, 1 advanced track and 1 experts only track.
The trails are:
The Valley 1.56 km. Is a popular trail and includes a range of features. It is a fast and fun track. The track can be ridden by beginners because there are b-lines around the most difficult features and is a flowy track for more experienced riders. (blue intermediate)
City Link 1.56 km. Is smooth with good flow at the top and rough and rocky at the bottom. the trail is full of obstacles (blue intermediate)
Rocky Road .85km. A very difficult trail which is only suitable for the best riders. The trail is a long rock garden with almost no b-lines around the hardest obstacles. (proline expert)
Rough 'n' Wild 1.25 km. A rough and fast track with lots of rocks. (black advanced)
