Mount Martha House Community Garden

Mount Martha House Community Garden is open all the time - we never close. We invite all members of the community, of all abilities to join us to teach, learn & share. We practice organic, permaculture principles & love experimenting with plant varieties & gardening techniques. We have no membership fees as all the garden is a shared space.
Mount Martha House Community Garden features edible and useful Australian natives, pollinator gardens, food producing plants, horta garden and resident birds & wildlife. We practice several types of composting & worm farming, espaliered fruit trees, medicinal herbs. We love to experiment & demonstrate. We offer regular workshops at low cost & welcome ALL members of our community to visit our share-shelf, food-swap & weekly gardening get-togethers. We welcome engagement with many community groups, schools & businesses.
Mount Martha House Community Garden is located around the Caretaker's Cottage at the rear of Mount Martha House - enter via Dominion Rd.
Produce from the garden is our gift to our community so people can help themselves. The Share Shelf is open 24/7 so take what you need and leave what you can.
