Morwell - Waterhole Creek Cultural Trail
'Give me your hand my friend' - is the message of the Aboriginal artwork, its translation is 'Gnokan Danna Murra Kor-Ki'. Morwell indigenous Gunaikurnai artist Ronald Edwards-Pepper was commissioned to create the artwork stretching 5kms along Waterhole Creek, Morwell.
Having lived in Gippsland for thousands of years, the Gunaikurnai nation is one of the biggest contemporary Aboriginal populations in Australia. Traditional designs captured by Edwards-Pepper give identity to Country as well as the stories and meanings of the Gunaikurnai's cultural heritage.
