Mornington Peninsula Language and Culture Studies
Mornington Peninsula Language and Culture Studies (MPLCS) specializes in teaching foreign languages and culture in the Mornington Peninsula. It is based upon the belief that Peninsula residents and visitors should have the chance to learn and experience traditions of other countries, particularly since many residents have a close connection with other cultures from one or two generations back.
MPLCS believes that quality is more important than quantity, therefore all foreign language courses are designed for small groups of students. It provides Italian, French, German, Spanish, Greek, Dutch, Japanese, Chinese and ESL language and culture lessons to adults, children and teenagers. Courses are designed for students at all levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced and conversational.
MPLCS's method is to provide the tools to talk in a foreign language in the first hour of lesson. Teachers will explain the 'language rules' in a very easy and enjoyable way and a student can start talking immediately using the language that he/she is studying.
MPLCS students will also see the cultural faces of the country, the language of which they are studying. During classes it is possible to talk in English about Geography, History, Art History, Literature, Traditions, Culinary aspects, Fashion, Architecture etc., and all ideas are welcome.
MPLCS organises local and overseas trips. It welcomes people that are willing to know the "real" country and that are ready to have language and culture lessons every day.
