Moorabbin Rugby Union Football Club (Cheltenham)
Moorabbin Rugby Union Football Club is one of the nine Premiership rugby clubs in the State of Victoria. We have a Senior section, a Ladies section and a Junior section. We have two pitches, excellent changing rooms, a canteen, bar and club room, plus a state-of-the-art Fitness Centre.
We have nearly 500 registered players, approximately 300 juniors and 200 seniors players including a Ladies team.
We are also committed to providing a pathway for players to reach the elite level. Moorabbin has teams from U/7s through to Seniors and has been one of the most successful clubs in Victoria for many years. We strive to appoint the best possible coaches at all levels and will continue to implement processes to improve coaching and player performance.
With parents, siblings, relations and friends of our players, we have a club community of more than 4,000 people many of whom are actively involved in the club as volunteers, committee members, coaches, team managers and supporters.
Our membership comes from a wide geographical spread across the Melbourne metropolitan area, with a broad demographic base drawn mainly from Australia, the Pacific Islands, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, South Africa, England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
Our Club is founded upon the fundamental principles of family, community and team. We are committed to instilling in our players the principles of fair play, good sportsmanship, team ethic, and mutual respect. Our ultimate purpose is to make better people of all of our players, mentoring and developing them and supporting them so that through rugby, they can and will become valuable members of society.
