Monterey Community Park Playground, Monterey Boulevard, Frankston North
Lovely landscaped playground built around the theme of a flowing river - this river is made from soft spongy rubber and so drownings are a rarity. The structures include plenty of challenge and fun for children of all levels. Includes a wave and spiral slide, bridge, tunnel, walkways, various ladders, kaleidoscope, honeycomb climbers, hanging disks, various panels, stand-on roller, springers, cubby areas, swings including one with harness and stand-on spinners.
There is a picnic area with two BBQs and a timber pavilion next to the car park. The only shade is under the shelter. There is also plenty of open grassy area as well as two soccer fields if you feel like kicking a ball around. The Reserve covers a large area which encompasses a number of sports fields, a skate park and the playground.
Access for Dogs:
There is a dog free roam area within the reserve on the Lehmann Crescent side.
