Montague Park Playground, Kars Street, Frankston
Structure with wave slide, shop front, walkway, tunnel, tic-tac-toe shaped frame with animal shapes, clock, clanger to hit against pipes, telescope, mirror, steps, steering wheel and a smaller wave slide. Small pyramid rope climbing frame, cup which rotates with a hand-wheel, see-saw and speed-boat on a rocker. This area is fenced.
Big basketball court, shelter with seats, toilets, unshaded table and seat, water tap and big grassy area. Swings in a slightly separate area.
The playground has a book library with free book exchange and an interesting "birth tree area". Each year there is a Birth Tree Unveiling Ceremony conducted by Rotary Peninsula 2.0. This initiative creates a lifelong connection for children with their place of birth and allow them to watch the Birth Tree (Acer Negundo 'Sensation') grow with them throughout the years. The proceeds from each Birth Tree registration is donated by Rotary to assisting organisations that support babies and children in the local area.
