Mitcham Community House
Mitcham Community House is a place where you can come to pursue interests, further your education, find support and meet new friends.
Approximately 1400 adults and children attend activities at the Mitcham Community House each week. The house aims to enhance the local community by offering quality affordable opportunities for learning, support, social interaction and personal growth in a warm and friendly environment. Activities are many, affordable and open to all members of the community. Activities are held during the day, evenings and some weekends.
Programs and activities include:
- Art and craft
- Health and wellbeing
- Personal development
- Fitness and recreation
- Cooking and community luncheons
- Computers
- Children's activities, playgroups, three-year-old group and childcare
- Auslan sign language
- English as a second language
- Family violence support group offering assistance and educational programs for women experiencing issues of violence
- Volunteering opportunities at the house including: office, childcare, committee, fundraising, English as a second language support, gardening and more
Opening Hours:
Monday to Friday 9.30am - 4 pm weekdays during school terms.
