Raglan - Ferntree Falls
Ferntree Falls is nestled among the huge ferns and moss covered rocks.
The Ferntree Visitor Area and Picnic Ground has picnic tables, fire pits and wood fire barbecues, non-flush toilets (one with disabled access) and a small hut (named Joffa's Hut) with seating and fireplace.
The falls are an easy 250m walk from the picnic ground.
Enjoy a nature walk through a tall forest of blue gums and messmates to reach the Ferntree Waterfall. The one-kilometre, 45-minute return, nature walk starts at the Ferntree camping area in Mount Buangor State Park. The walk passes three waterfalls, including the Ferntree Falls and Cascade Falls, and offers great views over the fern-lined upper reaches of the Middle Creek below.
