Merindah Park Dog Off Leash Area (Sandringham)
There is a large rectangular grassy area on the west side of the reserve and a bushland area on the east side.
The park is located near a block of land formerly used by a lead battery manufacturing factory which closed in 1988. Soil has been cleaned up but some areas have fences to restrict access. People or dogs should not enter these areas.
At the entrance of the southern side of the reserve along Spring Street there is a bin, shaded seat and water tap with bowl. The northern section of the park is quite wooded with pine trees. In this area someone has installed a plastic swimming pool for dogs next to a water tap with hose. There is also a picnic table and bin next to the gravel path on the east side. Even though some areas are fenced off, there are plenty of areas with bushes and trees for dogs to explore. The park is located between Wangara Road and Spring Streets.
