Review:
The Centre is very well equipped with facilities. There is a youngsters pool which is 0.3m deep with water sprays, see-saw and two ride-on animals. This pool is available for children 6 years and under during the weekend and holidays but designated as a toddlers pool during the week.
There is a wave pool next to this with high intensity water sprays/jets at the beach entrance. The wave pool only has a small area with deep water. Most of the pool is shallow but the waves are strong - little kids can be expected to get thrown off their feet at the waters edge. The wave pools only lasted about 6 minutes every half hour and seemed to finish almost as soon as it had started.
The SplashOUT slide is very fast and dark and you pick up a good amount of speed. Our 3 year old had one ride and that was enough - it was a bit too terrifying for him. The slide operated all the time and the queues were quite reasonable.
There is a warm, square pool (0.9-1.2m deep) and another bigger but colder pool which was 1.1-1.4m deep. In a neighbouring area there was a full length swimming pool and a dive area with many different diving platforms (for competitions and practice). There was also an inflatable operating in the biggest pool.
The family change rooms are fairly small but in good condition.
It appears that the SplashOUT operates during school holidays and weekends. Unless you make good use of the slide, the entrance cost is very steep, especially when you add on the cost of car parking (flat rate for the weekend and more expensive during the week).
