McCrae Yacht Club
Established in 1961, McCrae Yacht Club is an off the beach sailing club located at McCrae, at the south end of Port Philip Bay on a beautiful sandy beach. We have generous car parking and boat storage facilities with safe boat launching from the beach.
McCrae Yacht Club is a family friendly yacht club with outstanding racing and regatta management. Enjoy the grass out the front, or the view from the deck - its your choice!
McCrae Yacht Club is located on the stunning southern shores on the Mornington Peninsula and boasts one of the best off-the-beach sailing sites in Australia. The club supports large fleets of A Class, B14, Paper Tiger, Laser, Taser, Contender, Sabre, Pacer, Minnow and Optimist.
Boasting one of Victoria's most modern fleets of rescue powerboats, the club runs a variety of sailing training, racing and social events over the year. We often host sailing Championships at state, national and international levels. Our sailing season starts in October and runs through until the end of April. Our program is generally junior training on Saturday mornings, sale racing on Saturday afternoons and training on Sunday mornings. We have approximately 600 members, and regularly have racing fleets of 70+ boats on Saturdays. Sailing membership and social memberships are available.
