Marysville - Keppel Falls
Keppel Falls is one of the larger and more spectacular cascading waterfalls in the district. The Falls are particularly impressive in spring, following snow melt and rain but do have water throughout the year.
The walk to the Falls is via a good grade track and takes about 20 minutes. The track meanders up, down and through areas of pristine forest as it heads for the medium sized viewing platform.
The Falls are named after the brothers who found the falls in the early 1880s.
The Falls is located 10.5km from Marysville. From Keppel Falls car park on Lady Talbot Drive, follow the trail across the Taggerty River and continue upstream for one kilometre to the lookout below the falls. Return the same way.
Lady Talbot Drive continues onto Taggerty Cascades and The Beeches but this is a rough road and there is a sign advising 4WD access only.
