Maple Park Playground, Apium Street, Clyde
A huge expanse of grassy areas with a playground in one corner, pump track in another corner, fenced dog park in another corner, outdoor gym equipment scattered about and a wetlands area.
There is a huge green structure (is that a mutated Kermit?) with platforms at two levels and a tunnel slide at both levels. The first level can be reached by steep steps, rope bridge, slanting rope net or vertical rope tunnel (this is the only way up to the second level). At the first level is a cone stepper circuit.
Another area under a shade sail has a big, soft mound with steps, climbing holds and various ways of getting up the slope including a thick rope, disk steps, rope net and cone steps on poles. Around this area is a wave slide, spinning carousel, three wooden disks on springs, flowers to hit clangers against and two swings.
A shelter with two tables and a row of barstools next to a table (sadly, no-one is there serving drinks), water tap and toilets. There are plenty of unshaded tables in the park.
South of the playground is a wetlands area with shaded seating, boardwalk and a number of open ponds amongst the reeds and grasses.
