Main Street Recreation Reserve Playground, Main Street, Thomastown
A well spaced out playground with dual flying foxes on the side (one with a harness seat and the other with a disk seat), big birds nest swing at the far end and a big rope climbing frame leading to a tunnel slide at the bottom end.
In the middle is a big disk which spins around, swing with harness, two standard swings, little four person see-saw and a structure with slide, ladders, shop front and fireman's pole.
There is a social gathering space designed around Aboriginal storytelling.
A shelter with two tables, BBQs and water tap. Next to an oval, basketball half court, outdoor fitness equipment and some grassy area. Reasonably close to a large concrete drain which could become a raging river after heavy rain.
This reserve has an area of 6.9 hectares. Its facilities include 2 football and cricket ovals, pavilion and change rooms, toilets, 2 cricket practice nets, playground, walking trails, bocce rink, barbecue, shelter, car parking and Thomastown Recreation and Aquatic Centre (TRAC).
