Maclean Reserve Playground, Cole Street, Williamstown
Located next to a school so be prepared for the perils of primary school kids at the playground.
The main wooden structure has two towers joined by a rope bridge. The taller tower has a curved tunnel slide, rope net ladder, tic-tac-toe, hanging ladder, clock, speak and listen system and shopfront. The smaller tower has steps, shopfront, dual wave slides and climbing wall. It is connected by a rope spiders web climbing frame to a large climbing area of rope nets, hanging disks, monkey bars and rope tunnel.
There is also a large cubby with seats, gecko sculpture, in-ground trampoline, spinning disk, birds nest swing and two standard swings.
Two shelters, each with one table, and a water tap. There is a grassy area for play and a table with roof in the far corner. Beside the school fence is a log stepper circuit. The nearest toilets are at the Commonwealth Reserve on the foreshore. The playground is only a short walk from Nelson Street which has lots of eating opportunities including ice-cream! Consider taking the ferry to Williamstown for a delightful day out.
