Mackie Road Reserve Playground, Mackie Road, Bentleigh East
Smallish playground under shade cloth. Structure includes curved and straight slide, tunnel, walkway, various ladders, abacus, shop front, climber, steps, tic-tac-toe, chain ladder and fireman's pole. Also swings. Table and seats without shade. BBQs. Next to oval and located at deep fine leg during the cricket season. When we were there someone deposited a cricket ball into the playground which was rather scary. Avoid this playground when 20-20 matches are being played on the oval.
Mackie Road Reserve is home to Mackie Cricket Club, Glen Eira Junior Soccer Club and Coatesville Tennis Club.
Update from council - A safety fence has now been installed between the playground and sports ground.
Access for Dogs:
Mackie Road Reserve is an on-leash area at all times.
