Lyndarum North Playground, Edgars Road, Wollert
An incredible feast for the eyes before you even start playing with strikingly coloured softfall throughout the playground and a tall tower in the middle with two massive slides.
You need to climb up through a rope net ladder to get to the entrance of the first twisting tunnel slide. Another climb up a rope net gets you to the second level where there is a scary, steep, tunnel slide which has one twist to stop you reaching the speed of sound before depositing you on the ground.
{Feedback from Ricky}: It's near impossible for a parent to get into the tower to rescue a child. The hole going up is accessible through a rope spiderweb net and the opening to the second floor is around 40cm wide.
A soft fall bowl curves around one side of the tower which has two metal slides, some tunnels, metal ropes, a section of rock climbing holds, soft mounds of various sizes and two rope lines. There are plenty of ways of getting up and down these walls. This area also has two in-ground trampolines.
On the other side of the tower is a spinning carousel which requires quite a lot of muscle power to spin around, birds nest swing, two standard swings, table tennis table and a basketball half court.
In an elevated corner is a place for younger kids with a xylophone, drum, log balance area, wooden teepee cubby, metal slide, climbing holds on a soft fall slope, a mound with a tunnel and swings.
There is a shelter with two tables and water tap but no BBQ or toilets.
Those metal slides are going to get very hot in summer and with no BBQs, the kids may be the things getting sizzled. There is a large grassy area to play ball games and run around. Unfortunately there was a lot of rubbish scattered throughout the playground.
