Loddon River Bridge Tree Sculptures
Intricately carved wooden sculptures, transformed from pine trees removed from the Inglewood Botanical Gardens.
Location: Bridgewater walking track along the western bank of the Loddon River, just south of the bridge in Bridgewater on Loddon.
Loddon River Railway Bridge Mural
Mosaic artwork created by school children from the local area.
Location: On the eastern bank underneath the railway bridge in Bridgewater on Loddon.

Sir Reginald Myles Ansett Sculpture

Sir Reginald Myles Ansett 1909-1981. Born in Inglewood, Victoria. Knighted in 1969. Aviation and transport pioneer. Founder of Ansett Airways.

Edwin Tovey CB CMG DSO VD
Major General 1866-1947
Born in Inglewood, Victoria. Inglewood Borough Councillor 1894-1899
Exemplary soldier, Boer War 4th & 5th Victorian Imperial Contingents, WWI AIF Infantry Brigade, Commanded 5th Australian Division and 2nd Cavalry Division. Mentioned in despatches.

Transport Sculpture Park

A wonderful fun display of sculptures created from scrap metal and drums with a theme of transport with Ansett airport, aeroplanes, helicopters, dragster and horse drawn buggy. Extra characters include the Inglewood Big Axe, gold panner and bushrangers. The sculptures are on private property but you can get a good view from the roadside.

Pyramid Hill
Kangaroo Chair

The Kangaroo Chair represents, Federation, the formation of the Loddon Shire and the community spirit shared by the towns of Wedderburn, Pyramid Hill and Tarnagulla. The artwork that features on the chair was created by school children from the local communities during the celebration of the centenary of Federation.

Jack Kelly Mural

Jack Kelly served on HMAS Canberra which was sunk during the Battle of Savo Island in the Solomon Islands during the Guadalcanal campaign in WW2 and Jack was a survivor.

100 Years of Irrigation Development Sculpture

Plaque and sculpture commemorates 100 years of irrigation development in the Tragowel Plains area. Commenced on the 26th April, 1886, with the election of 15 commissioners to the Tragowel Plains Irrigation Trust. First sod turned by the Governor of Victoria on 2nd July, 1886 in the water reserve 3 miles west of Pyramid Hill, now part of the Pyramid No. 1 channel. Development which followed was the fulfillment of Major Mitchell's vision of irrigation over these fertile plains - 29th June, 1836.

Serpentine
Centenary of Anzac Commemoration Service Sculpture

On April 24 2015 the people of Loddon Shire held a Centenary of Anzac Commemoration Service for the sons and daughters of Loddon who served their country in the First World War. Members of each community and all school students from Loddon's nine schools were in attendance. The sculpture acknowledges the sacrifice and contribution of our veterans in defending Australia.

First Official Air Race Commemoration Sculpture

The monument commemorates the starting point of Australia's first official air race in 1920. The monument is 1.5 metres high wall which supports a propellor of the type used in the race. The other side has a plaque and a map of Australia.
Serpentine was chosen as the starting point of Australia's first official air race in which four airmen all of whom had served in the Australian Flying Corps in World War One competed, to promote the Second Peace Loan.
Aeroplanes were to fly to St. Kilda, circle above the spire of the Christ Church and then proceed to the General Post Office (GPO) in Elizabeth Street, Melbourne. The announcement that the planes would carry aerial mail brought a flood of letters to Serpentine. A large crowd assembled at the 'winning post', the Melbourne Town Hall with the winner taking 1 hour 15 minutes and 17 seconds.

Kangaroo Chair

The Kangaroo Chair is located in Soldiers Memorial Park and represents the spirit of Federation by bringing together towns within the Loddon Shire. The Kangaroo is a symbol of our natural Australian environment. The chair itself represents home. The drawings, created by children in each town, celebrate the 100 years of the Commonwealth of Australia by the local communities.

Wedderburn
Birds Eye View Murals by Andrew Bourke, Jimmy Dvate and Bryan Itch


The open-air gallery of murals has a theme "Birds Eye View" due to Wedderburn being identified as a mecca for birdlife due to its unique ecosystems where four different intact bio-regions meet and intersect, creating a diverse habitat for birds. There are five large walls painted throughout the town featuring various different bird species all local to the area.

The colorful bollards, which represent various local occupations, were painted by local school students to bring a cheerful, community-focused vibe to the park.

Borella Jacka Victoria Cross Memorial

The Borella - Jacka Victoria Cross Commemorative Sculpture commemorates Albert Borella and Albert Jacka both of whom were awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C) for their actions during World War One. Both men grew up in the former Shire of Korong.

Cockatoo Ceramic Mural Fence

Cuzz's Public and Roadside Art

As you drive through the Loddon region keep an eye out for Cuzz's (Ross Currie) roadside art. This Wedderburn-based artist who specialises in road side art, pyrography (wood burning) and charcoal design loves to surprise locals and visitors with his whimsical creations which are normally popping with colour. Creations include birds, dogs, country scenes, dinosaurs, rheola monster and a crocodile. Keep a particular eye out particularly around Wedderburn where his creative skills are on full display on bins, poles, stumps and even at the golf course.
