Licola Wilderness Village Disc Golf (Licola)
Disc golf is the fastest growing sport in this country. There are only a handful of professionally built courses in the state and ours is designed and created by the Australian Champion. It is a fantastic new activity for the whole family or for your school. Great for all ages you can bring your own disc and play for free or borrow one of our flying discs on the payment of a small returnable deposit. The course has 18 grass tees which wind through the village and 9 baskets.
The basic principle is the same as for ball golf. You start at the T-off and have par set depending on length/ difficulty of the "hole" (a specially designed basket that stops or "catches" the disc when hit). Score cards can be picked up at the office.
Lions Clubs have for 50 years run camps at Licola Wilderness Village for the underprivileged, deserving, special needs and disengaged young people, mostly held during school holidays. The cabins can also be booked by the public.
Cost:
Disc golf course is free of charge to all guests that stay at the facility. There is a $10 charge for the public not staying there and advance bookings are required. It includes up to 4 discs, depending on group sizes.
