The Leopold Swim School is family owned and operated. It operates successfully with management staff that has had experience in this field for numerous years.

We have an extensive background in competitive pool swimming & surf life saving, being part of many Victorian teams & have great knowledge to pass on to our students. We class ourselves as professionals in this industry as we have had brilliant results. We pride ourselves on the quality given to you the customer. We believe you will not find any other centre in Geelong that can compete with us. Every swim teacher at the Leopold Swim School is taught & trained our unique way to the highest standards as well as Austswim qualified. This enables us to offer the best instruction for swimming lessons available.

Preschool Lessons (1 instructor: 4 students per class)
School Age Lessons (1 instructor: 4 students per class)

How we do it?
Our program starts at 6mths of age. The children learn water confidence and awareness. It then continues through to preschool age where they learn basic swimming skills through to developing strokes. School age children learn water safety, stroke technique and develop endurance in the water. Once they have completed our Learn to Swim Program they can then enter a development session to further improve their stroke technique and fitness.

Swimming is a skill that needs to be repeated constantly for it to improve. The child therefore needs to attend swim lessons until the skills are learnt and they have reached a standard that is good enough to save their life. As we are all aware learning to swim is a long and slow process and there is no quick fix. Despite this, we will work tirelessly to improve your child's swimming.

Aqua Babes
Aqua Babes is a program designed by Leopold Swim School for children 6 months - 5yrs of age. The aim of this program is

To enhance all motor skills and coordination
To develop a high level of confidence & enjoyment in the water
To develop swimming skills quickly

To reach our aim in this program it requires the children to attend swimming lessons at least twice per week. Practice is perfection.

Development Squad
Once a swimmer has completed their level 4 at the Leopold Swim School they are invited to join our development squad. Our development squad consists of drills, skills, sprinting and endurance. We concentrate on all 4 strokes used in competition. We aim to develop the swimmers stroke so they can learn to swim fast with correct technique. We also perfect the little things such as streamlining and tumble turns. Our squad session can also be used as a fitness session if they are not interested in competitive swimming.

Birthday Parties
Parents organise your child's next birthday party with us. What's more fun than having a party at the pool with their friends? And an even bigger bonus, there is no cleaning up for you when it's finished.

Our birthday parties include:

Your own party leader
Lots of fun games, activities & equipment to use
The whole pool & centre to yourself

Parents of children attending the party are welcome to stay but not necessary as the parties are fully supervised by the swim school.

Pre-school Parties
During specific week days and times pre-school birthday parties can be organized. The children must be in 4 year old kinder for the party to run successfully with organized games and an instructor. Children under 4 are required to have a carer in the water with them. Parties for younger children will be a free play session using equipment e.g. mats, balls and noodles. All other details are as above.
