Leongatha South - Valley Plains Pottery
Each piece of Valley Plains Pottery is handcrafted from stoneware, porcelain or locally dug clay and fired in a traditional manner using a woodfired kiln. This tradition goes back many hundreds of years and creates functional and sculptural pieces that are earthy and unique.
We produce a large variety of individually made and beautifully crafted pottery, vases, jugs and tableware.
Workshops
Follow our instagram and Facebook pages to hear about upcoming workshops and events. We run two different workshops: Pop up workshops 1 & 1/2 hours and 1/2 day workshops 3 & 1/2 hours.
Exploring small wheel thrown pieces for beginners to advanced. Zak will teach specific techniques as a group and individually. All equipment, clays and glazes provided. At the end of the day you select one piece (pop up) two pieces (1/2 day) which we will fire in one of the wood fired kilns for you.
1/2 Day workshops also incorporate brewed coffee and teas and homemade morning tea.
