CRUISE NORTH ARM North Arm, from where the boats are hired, provides approximately four kilometres of sheltered waterway, perfect for a sight-seeing cruise. Rolling hills, waterfront properties and an abundance of birdlife can be viewed, while patrons have the opportunity to visit Wyanga Park Winery for a meal, or just to sample the fine, local wines.
FRESH RICH WATERS Victor Hire Boats open up a range of options for fishing enthusiasts in the sheltered Gippsland Lakes with many secluded places to wet a line. In the waters near the Entrance, salmon is a popular catch by trolling a lure, while King George whiting frequent the sand banks. Bream, flathead, luderick, trevally and tailor are also common throughout the lake system on a variety of baits.
DAY TRIPS There are a number of day trip locations on the Gippsland Lakes from which patrons can choose. Metung is one of the most popular and cruising time to this beautiful village on the shores of Bancroft Bay is a little under 2 1 /2 to 3 hours (return). Moor your boat and enjoy a meal at the waterfront hotel or make use of the barbecues or village green for an outdoor meal.
WATER SPORTS As mentioned, the Gippsland Lakes has a host of places to visit and it won't take long for you to find your own piece of secluded paradise where you can have a beach all to yourselves. Enjoy a swim or any other water activity on the shores of the lakes, your fun broken only by a previously prepared, scrumptious picnic lunch.
