Karnak - Lake Ratzcastle Lake Reserve
Lake Ratzcastle is located just 10km south of Goroke and is a great little free camping spot. There is a 2km gravel road leading from the Edenhope-Goroke Road and Excells Road.
There is camping next to the lake where you can catch fish and yabbies and there is lots of wildlife around the lake. The lake only fills on a seasonal basis and water may not be present at all times of the year.
There are several walks around the lake and in the bushland.
There are facilities at the lake including hot solar showers, flushing toilets, picnic shelter, tables and water tank. The site is maintained by the Lions Club and donations can be left at IGA Goroke to help support the maintenance. Please take your rubbish with you.
The closest facilities are in Goroke which has a hotel, garage and IGA supermarket.
Access for Dogs:
