Lake Meran
Lake Meran is a picturesque freshwater lake on the northern end of Leaghur Forest. Being a natural lake, it is prone to seasonal fluctuations and is currently suitable for swimming and kayaking. When the water level is high, it is a popular spot also for boating and skiing. Lake Meran is a lovely spot to camp, swim, fish or simply relax with a picnic in the lovely natural surrounds.
The lake has shallow, white sandy beaches and is surrounded by healthy red gums which provide shade. There is a designated swimming area.
Facilities include a boat ramp, BBQs, picnic tables and toilets. Bush camping is permitted at Lake Meran campground which is located at the southern end of Lake Meran.
Access for Dogs:
Dogs are permitted on leash.
