Lake Eildon National Park Stones Outstation & Wallaby Bay Walk
Stones Outstation and stockyards are located on the west bank of Stone Bay, beside the Fraser Block of Lake Eildon National Park - in Central Victoria. The walk starts at Wallaby Bay Carpark in Coller Bay, Fraser Block.
The 9.7 km walk track (Wallaby Bay Walk Track) is of good grade and meanders through beautiful Australian bushland where flora and fauna abound. The track often follows the lake's shoreline and there are a number of scenic views.
Stones Outstation consists of an old hut and remnants of stockyards (250 m west of the hut beside Station Creek Track). The hut is in good condition and was renovated in 2011 and 2017. The historic stockyards have almost disappeared and are hard to locate.
The area around the Outstation is highly photographic. Station Creek is located 50 m from the hut's front door and beautiful eroded cliffs are a feature. The lake's high water mark is 100 m from the hut and boat access is via Aird Inlet and a short walk.

Directions
FROM ALEXANDRA
1. Travel east on the Goulburn Valley Highway towards Eildon for 2 km.
2. Turn left at UT Creek Road.
3. Travel 9 km to Haines Saddle.
4. Descend 3 km to the office.
5. Turn left and follow the road to its end.
6. Park and walk to Stones Outstation.
FROM EILDON
1. Travel north on the Skyline Road for 10 km, until you reach Haines Saddle.
2. Descend 3 km to the office and intersection.
3. Turn left and follow the road to its end.
4. Park and walk to Stones Outstation.
