La Petite Ecole (St Kilda East)
La Petite Ecole is a French Early Childhood Education Centre. Our unique French preschool offers children aged 2, 3 and 4 an immersion program based on the French culture and educational system.
La Petite Ecole's French language program is inspired by the French preschool curriculum "Qu'apprend-on a l'ecole maternelle?" (What do we learn at Kindergarten?), which covers all early childhood developmental areas, and very closely follows the philosophies of th...e "Early Years Learning Framework for Australia" (EYLF).
The program at La Petite Ecole is prepared by the Director, along with the help of qualified French teachers, who provide input for each of the levels currently taught at the school (2, 3 and 4 year old program, as well as an after-school program for primary school children).
La Petite Ecole adopts a 'play-based' approach to education, but also has a clear structure in each of its schools.
Our school runs a full program ranging from one to four days a week, for 2, 3 and 4 year-old children.
Opening Hours:
Sessions run from 9am to 3pm or 9:15am to 3:15pm.
After-school care is also available until 4:30pm.
