Kyneton Showgrounds is an historic precinct in the heart of Kyneton. The No.1 oval is the site of the Kyneton Agricultural Show, Watts pavilion and home to football, cricket and athletics clubs.
No.2 oval is an open grassed area used for passive and active recreational activities.
The dog off leash area is restricted to the Kyneton Showgrounds Oval No 2 when sporting events are not in
progress. Oval 2 is the easternmost of the two ovals and has no fences.
There is also a skate park, fire brigade running track, car parks and toilets (on the west side of the oval). There is a water tap with bowl on the south side at the Frank Douglas Cattle Pavilion.
There are some grassy areas around the oval and a shelter with table, unshaded table and seat.
