Programs
Bingo
Kirrip Aboriginal Corporation hosts bingo each week. This is a program for our local community to take part in for some fun and to help reconnect with others!
Elders & Respected Person's Group
Kirrip Aboriginal Elders / Respected Persons Group is a place where Aboriginal Elders and respected persons can come together to enjoy a cup of tea, have a yarn with no kids or interruptions - just Aboriginal Elders, aged 45 +.
Kirrip offers a place for our Elders and Respected Persons to bond socially and culturally with each other. The Aboriginal Elders / Respected Persons group is run weekly with a light lunch provided,
Men's Group
The Men's Cultural Program is a traditional cultural learning, strengthening and connection program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Men aged 18 years and over. Non-Indigenous partners and fathers of Indigenous children are also welcome to participate.
The focus of this Program will be on strengthening the male's role and responsibility in both their family and their Community, from an Indigenous perspective.
Study Buddies
This program is for all students who would like support with their school work. Come along with your work and receive help from our local tutors! This is also an awesome opportunity to meet and connect with other local Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander youth!
Supported Playgroup
Kirrip Aboriginal Playgroup is supported by Melton City Council. Come along to play with your child and yarn with other families in the community. Enjoy fun activities, songs, music and parenting tips!
Women's Group
Kirrip Aboriginal Corporation hosts Women's Group every fortnight. This is a program for Aboriginal women to participate in, to have a yarn and feel connected socially and culturally to others in the community. We also welcome partners and mothers of Aboriginal people.
Youth Group
Kirrip and Edmund Rice Services Mt. Atkinson have partnered together to design and deliver a new cultural program for all school-aged Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth living in and around the City of Melton called Youth in Partnership.
We will meet weekly to increase connection to culture, provide opportunities for leadership development and connect with local Elders and Aboriginal professionals who will run cultural activities.
