Kirkdale Reserve Playground, Kirkdale Street, Brunswick East
Nature based playground set amongst trees which provide some shade. At the top of the hill is a cute bird hide for kids with binoculars and information on birds of the Merri Creek. On the side of the hide is a wave slide.
On the side of the hill is a wave slide which goes down to the bottom level with a big sandpit, spinning carousel, birds nest swing and two standard swings. On top of a little mound is a water hand pump with a channel down to the sandpit. There are quite a few toys which have been left here to play with.
There's a shelter with two tables and BBQ, water tap, unshaded tables, big grassy area and located next to the Merri Creek Trail. 50m away is another shelter with a table and BBQ, basketball court and toilets.
It is a little hard to keep track of the kids amongst all the vegetation around the playground.
